The ‘Raves & Roses’ album of Afrobeats star, Rema has hit a milestone, surpassing 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 Global Chart.
This achievement was boosted by his mega-hit single ‘Calm Down’.
This achievement places Rema’s ‘Raves & Roses’ second only to Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos,’ which has spent 133 weeks on the chart.
Rema’s latest accomplishment adds to the numerous records he has set with ‘Calm Down,’ including a Guinness World Record for being the first-ever No. 1 song on the MENA chart.
‘Calm Down’ has seen significant success in the United States, reaching the highest peak (#3) for a song by a Nigerian artist on the Billboard Hot 100 and maintaining the longest charting presence (over 52 weeks) by a Nigerian artist.
Additionally, ‘Calm Down’ has been declared 4X RIAA Platinum and made history by becoming the first African song to garner 1 billion streams in the United States, marking a monumental achievement for the Nigerian music industry.
