2027: You Moved Your Families To UK Yet Shout ‘City Boy’ — Nigerian Lawyer Slams Obi Cubana And Cubana Chief Priest

Nigerian lawyer, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu has alleged that nightlife mogul Obi Cubana relocated his family to the United Kingdom three years ago, asserting that he no longer trusts in Nigeria’s future.

Iwuchukwu, in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, also made similar claims about Cubana Chief Priest.

Recall that Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest have openly backed President Bola Tinubu for 2027 presidential election after becoming part of the ‘City Boy Movement’, a pro-Tinubu campaign group.

However, Iwuchukwu claimed that Obi Cubana moved his family abroad because he considers Nigeria “irredeemable,” while continuing to run businesses in the country and sending money to his family overseas.

He further accused the businessmen of supporting the ‘City Boy’ political slogan, alleging that they are backing a government he described as failed while keeping their families outside the country.

“Obi Cubana relocated his family to the UK three years ago.

“To him, Nigeria is irredeemable and a carcass, this is why he uprooted his family from here and then sent them away to UK.

“He makes money here and then repatriates it to his family living in a sane country.

“The same applies to Cubana Chief Priest.

“These are the same selfish elites shouting ‘city boy’ up and down, by gaslighting Nigerians that a failed government deserves another chance,” he said.

However, Iwuchukwu noted that it was within their constitutional rights to support any political candidate of their choice. But he urged young Nigerians to respond by boycotting businesses linked to them.

“It is also your right as a young person living in Nigeria to boycott their business and stop buying anything they are selling,” he wrote, encouraging Nigerians to “vote with their wallet.”

It’s Not Worth It — Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Advises People To Rethink Marrying Into Families That Dislike Them (Video)

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared her insights on how to handle in-laws who disapprove of a marriage.

Speaking during an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, the veteran actress said people should try their best to make their partner’s family understand them, but noted that some families are already set in their ways.

According to her, certain parents hold deep prejudices based on factors like background or place of origin, and in such cases, there may be little anyone can do to change their mindset.

She explained that while some families might eventually come around, the change can be unstable, making the situation unpredictable.

Omotola stressed that marriage itself already comes with enough challenges, so starting that journey without family support can make things even more difficult.

She advised that people should think carefully before entering such unions, adding that going into marriage with hostility from in-laws often leads to a rough path.

In her words, if someone still chooses to proceed despite the lack of support, they should be prepared for the realities that may follow.

I’m A Lover Boy, Not Womanizer’ – 2Baba Idibia Speaks On Fatherhood, Marriage To Natasha (Video)

Nigerian music icon Tuface Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has spoken out about the common perceptions surrounding his private life, insisting that he is not a womanizer.

2Baba said he is straightforward and a lover boy.

He disclosed this in an exclusive chat with the Voice of Nigeria, where he spoke about his responsibilities as a father and the weight that comes with stardom.

The legendary singer addressed what he believes is the most persistent misunderstanding about him.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer. I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard,” 2Baba said.

Moving beyond public opinion, the award-winning artiste spoke emotionally about fatherhood, acknowledging that juggling his music career with raising his children has been one of his toughest personal challenges.

He said: “I have eight kids now. I feel blessed and happy, but the sadness comes from the fact that I haven’t gotten to spend the type of time I should have spent with them collectively. It does something to me sometimes.”

Despite the regret he occasionally feels, 2Baba described his children as a continual source of joy and admiration.

“They’re amazing, brilliant people,” he said. “I just wish I was there more. It touches me from all corners.”

He also responded to public commentary about his wife, Natasha, particularly suggestions that she is overly controlling or significantly influences his decisions.

According to the singer, such claims are often far removed from the truth of their relationship.

“Everybody has a say in everybody’s business now. Sometimes people say very nasty things.

“You grow thick skin, but sometimes it gets to you. Reality is reality, she’s a brilliant woman, a strong woman.”

Away from the bright lights and roaring crowds, 2Baba revealed a calmer, more reserved personality, explaining that he is naturally shy despite performing on some of the world’s biggest stages.

“My profession doesn’t permit me to be shy, but I’m actually a very shy person.

“Sometimes I just want to be alone and chill. Other times I want to hang out. I like nature; I have my moments.”
