Tragedy as Plane Crashes Into Florida Neighbourhood, Killing 9

A business jet crashed into a neighbourhood in Florida on Sunday and killed all nine people on board.

Nobody on the ground was hurt.

The crash happened near Cresthaven, about nine miles from Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s resort.

The plane had taken off from Austin, Texas, and was on its way to the Bahamas.

Pictures show a big hole in a busy road, with fire and wreckage scattered around.

Officials said the plane was falling very fast right before it hit the ground.

Air traffic control recordings caught the pilots saying they were hit by bad weather and ice, and that they needed to climb.

Then they said they were going down and had run out of time.

A video posted online, which has not been verified, appears to show the moment the plane came down and exploded.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the crash was shocking.

Officials have not yet said who was on the plane.

The U.S. Transport Secretary, Sean Duffy, called it a terrible tragedy.

Investigators from the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are looking into what happened.

About 600 people from a nearby trailer park were moved out.

The crash also damaged water pipes, and the road may stay closed for at least 30 days.

Storms were in the area when the crash happened, and it was raining hard during the news briefing.
