My Stage Name Has No Meaning, I Lied About It – Famous Rapper, Nasty C Says

Renowned South African rapper David Junior Ngcobo, popularly known as Nasty C, has revealed that he is considering changing his stage name.

In a candid interview with Madame Joyce in London, the ‘Coolest Kid In Africa’ crooner disclosed that his stage name doesn’t have a meaning, emphasing that he just put letters together.

He also admitted that he lied about his first producer calling him “Nasty Cat” which inspired his stage name, stressing that he just wanted to have a story about the name.

Madame Joyce asked: “Where does the name Nasty C come from?”

Nasty C: “it’s random. It just put a bunch of letters together and I started making words out of it, and then I picked that one. I have no idea [about the meaning of the name or what it stands for], I don’t know.

“There’s a story I used to tell people. The first guy to ever record me was very close to my big brother. He was having a session and I was supposed to go next and he was telling the guy he just recorded like, ‘Yo, there’s this kid blablabal. He’s really dope. He’s a Nasty Cat.’ Then I took the the ‘AT’ out of Cat to form ‘Nasty C.’

“But it’s a lie. I just wanted to have a story and I wanted to mention that guy’s name because he really did help me starting my career. My stage name is just vibe. I want to change it now.”

I Don’t Want to Look Older Than My Age – Nasty C On Why He Quit Alcohol

Famous South African rapper, Nasty C has revealed why he quit drinking.
The singer who suffered with alcohol addiction revealed that he was drinking alcohol everyday and everywhere until he decided to give up the addiction.
Nasty C explained that he quit alcohol because he doesn’t want to look older than his age.
The 28-year-old rapper claimed that South Africans believe that excessive alcohol consumption could make someone look 10 years older than they actually are.
Speaking in a recent interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Madame Joyce, Nasty C said, “I was addicted to alcohol. I was drinking every night. Everytime I go to the studio, restaurant, I drink. Everytime I perform, I drink.

“Also, my tolerance when it comes to alcohol was very high, too. When I drink alcohol with friends, I would be the last one to be intoxicated. And I feel it’s a bad thing because you never know when something is going wrong until it’s too late. I got off the vodka a little bit but I was drinking everything else. Whisky, cognac, tequila, rum – I was drinking everything.

“I gave up alcohol because I don’t want to get a ‘phuza face.’ There’s a thing in South Africa we call a ‘phuza face’ – when you age really quickly because you drink a lot of alcohol, when you start looking 10 years older than you actually are.”

Nasty C Explains Why He Rejected Sarkodie’s Requests for Feature Tracks Twice.

The South African phenomenal rapper said that he declined two requests for features from the Ghanaian heavyweight rapper over a protracted period of time.

Nasty C, a powerful South African rapper, singer, and performer, explained in a recent freestyle why he declined to honor Sarkodie’s feature twice.

The talented rapper, who is supposed to be releasing his new album “the spank daddy” in 2023, explained in a violent freestyle on Metro FM why he declined a request to be featured by one of the best African rappers of all time.

Nasty C claims that when he was an up-and-coming artist, Sarkodie refused to shake his hand. As a result, he harbored resentment. By using lame justifications like “he was on album mode,” the Zulu man with some influence made it clear that he had turned down the feature requests twice. Nasty continued by stating that he is still a huge fan of Sarkodie and that he would do his absolute best to fulfill any future requests from the legendary rapper.

The viral video, which accuses Nasty C of disrespecting Sarkodie, has generated a lot of buzz. The young man, however, made it plain on Instagram that he has no animosity toward Sarkodie and was only using the freestyle to vent. He stated:

No Malice over here u promise you.. I had some shit to get off my chest that’s all. That’s how & why I make albums
