Manchester United put an end to Liverpool’s winning streak toady at Old Trafford. The match that has been regarded as a walk-over by most football analyst considering Liverpool’s great form in comparison to United’s wobbling display. Liverpool’s nightmare came to live in the 36th minute when United counter attack Liverpool through Daniel James, who ran down the flanks to lay down a pass that beats the Liverpool’s defender finding Rashford who then with little effort boots in the ball to the back of the net.
Although, Rashford’s goal inaugurates the controversies in the game, when a call was made of a foul on Divock Origi earlier on in the build up to the goal. VAR later disqualifies Sadio Mane’s goal after it was shown to have made contact with the ball with his hand before finding the net in the 44th minute.
Adam Lallana who came on as a sub later rescued a point for Liverpool after he taps in from Andy Robertson’s cross in the 85th minute
Liverpool are still top of the league with a 6 point lead while Manchester United have now move a step up to 13th on the log.
